RUGBY WORLD CUP COUNTDOWN

The 2011 Rugby World Cup (RWC) is one of the biggest events on The Heart of City agenda. Hitting town over a 6 week period from 9 September 2011, the Rugby World Cup will provide a huge opportunity for businesses to take advantage of the massive influx of visitors and activity.

Throughout the coming months we will send you updates on how RWC 2011 will affect the Auckland region and more specifically how it could affect your business. Heart of the City will be working on a plan to bring Auckland City to life during the RWC 2011 and to ensure domestic and international visitors experience the great things the city has to offer.

Start Preparing Now!
The countdown to the first Rugby World Cup 2011 match is officially less than two years away. And as Auckland and New Zealand start to prepare for an estimated 60,000 international visitors, we want you to start thinking about how your business can benefit.

Heart of the City views the Rugby World Cup as a major opportunity for Auckland CBD businesses - with an estimated $267 million of direct income to the Auckland region alone.

As a first step download the Guide to Business Opportunities brochure and make sure that you bookmark the Auckland2011 website www.auckland2011.com. Check back regularly to connect your business to Rugby World Cup-related opportunities as they arise. You can register online to receive updates.
