RUGBY WORLD CUP COUNTDOWN

Rugby World Cup Speaker Series

Designed to give Auckland businesses both information and networking opportunities, the six month seminar series has been developed by AucklandPlus in association with the Auckland Chamber of Commerce.

In less than 18 months a projected 60,000 athletes, media and sports fans will be descending on Auckland for the opening ceremony at Auckland's Eden Park.

“Our objective is to give Auckland businesses the tools to place themselves in the best position to take advantage of the increased opportunities that RWC 2011 will bring” says AucklandPlus Group Manager Clyde Rogers.

Successful Auckland businesspeople and subject experts will each present on topics ranging from commercial rights restrictions to business sustainability. The first seminar, an overview of RWC opportunities for local businesses will be presented by Chair of AucklandPlus and Chief Executive of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, Michael Barnett and ex All Black and successful businessman David Kirk MBE.

The Speaker Series will run between March and September and Heart of the City will update you when more information is available on the dates of the speaker series.
