A great way to keep up to date with what's happening in the CBD. The website offers members the opportunity to actively participate and leverage off the large number of businesses in the CBD. The member's poll is a fantastic tool for gauging the collective feeling for various plans and initiatives that affect the CBD.

Heart of the City members are able to communicate with CBD businesses and post notices, job vacancies, promotions and businesses for sale. Click here to log on and update your profile.

Our e-letter goes out in the first or second week of each month. It has details on upcoming events, monthly competitions and information that could affect your business. For problems with street traders, buskers and disorderly behaviour call the Auckland City Council Call Center on (09) 379 2020. The new First Security programme sponsored by Heart of the City and Auckland City have patrols running 7 days a week. For more serious crime call the Downtown Police station on 379 4500 or 111 if an emergency.

 

Up to 10 City Ambassadors walk the streets 7 days a week, assisting visitors to find their way to shopping, restaurants, attractions and entertainment. They also keep a look out for issues on the streets, particularly vandalism, graffiti, street traders and disorderly behaviour and have direct contact with Walkwise security.

The City ambassadors want to promote your business to visitors and will be calling in to introduce themselves.

 

The free City Circuit bus is a red, hybrid electric public transport option. Each bus has 30 passenger seats and has low floor access and wide entry/exit doors.

The bus travels along Queen Street down to Britomart on the waterfront, to Albert Park, Symonds Street and along Wellesley Street to the Sky Tower.

The City Circuit operates seven days a week, every ten minutes between the hours of 8am to 6pm.

Heart of the City has commissioned a quarterly consumer expenditure report for retail to assist you to monitor your businesses performance against the category you operate in. Find out more on the Help Desk section of this website.

 

Heart of the City produces a free city map which is distributed widely throughout the CBD. Download a PDF version or contact us on (09) 379 8000 if you wish to place an order (orders over 200 involve a small charge).

 

 

Tikki Tikki's are a fun, eco-friendly way to get around the city and for the first time ever they are operatingduring winter. Booking a ride is easy simply hail down a cab as they circle the city or call 0800 4 TIKKI. Tikki Tikki's can be booked at an hourly ratefor any time of the day or night. 

So why not impress your out-of-town clients by treating them to a unique ride around Auckland City or book them for a corporate event or a hen's night. The opportunities are endless. Email Janine@hotcity.co.nz if you are interested in advertising on the back of the cabs.
