RUGBY World Cup Update 1
The 2011 Rugby World Cup (RWC) is one of the biggest events on The Heart of City agenda. Hitting town 9 September 2011, the Rugby World Cup will provide a huge opportunity for businesses to take advantage of the massive influx of visitors and activity. Throughout the coming months we will send you updates on how RWC 2011 will affect the Auckland region and more specifically how it could affect your business. Heart of the City will be working on a plan to bring Auckland City to life during the RWC 2011 and to ensure domestic and international visitors experience the great things the city has to offer.
Tourism Auckland, will launch the first stage of the Visitor Ready Programme in February and March 2010 with a series of informative workshops prepared with tourism businesses in mind. We encourage all tourism oriented businesses to attend. Registration closes Tuesday 2nd February so be sure to sign up your business to get the most out of this great opportunity.
