Public Transport

Britomart Transport Centre - The main city terminal is at Britomart Transport Centre, situated at the bottom of Queen Street, linking the Auckland CBD with other key destinations around the city.

Link Bus - The Link Bus runs in a circular route (in both directions) from Britomart via Albert St, Victoria Park, Ponsonby Rd, K Rd, Grafton Bridge, Newmarket, Parnell. The Link has a maximum cash fare of $1.80 or is $1.50 with HOP. 

City Link - The City Link is a free service* connecting K Rd with Britomart via Queen St with every second service extending from Britomart to Wynyard Quarter (Jellicoe St). Heart of the City has partnered with Auckland Transport to sponsor the City Link. 

Metrolink - Metrolink is one of Auckland's largest bus services. For information on how to get around Auckland CBD and further please visit the Maxx website www.maxx.co.nz

Cycling

The City Centre is increasingly becoming more 'bike friendly'.

  • Bicycle racks are located along the length of Queen Street, and are featured in all the new shared space areas in the city centre.
  • A new bike hire scheme will be running during Rugby World Cup. Find out more here

Parking 

There are an abundance of carparking buildings, open-air carparks and on street parking in Auckland CBD. Please use the link below to find out more information on where individual carparks are located, opening times and rates. 

CBD Parking Offer

We have collaborated with Auckland Transport to develop a parking promotion for the Victoria and Downtown Carparks in the CBD. 

The promotion, running until further notice, will see evening and weekend rates drop to $2.50 per hour to a maximum of $7.50.
