Heart of the City Christmas

News story
Thursday 5 Nov 2015

Over the next couple of weeks, Heart of the City will again be installing Christmas decorations in the city centre – with Queen Street’s stunning lighting decorations, and Santa in his usual location on the corner of Victoria and Queen Street, Elliott St’s angles, High Street fairy lights and Vulcan Lane doves and globes, as well as our giant Baubles in QEII Square and Freyberg Sq, with banners in Queen St, Quay and Customs Streets.

These will be installed ahead of launching our Christmas campaign on 23 November to position the city centre as the place in Auckland to experience Christmas. The campaign will remind Aucklanders of what ‘A City Christmas Means…’ whether it means seeing Santa installed in all his glory, visiting him at Smith and Caugheys, watching him in the Santa Parade or heading down to Wynyard Quarter to see him installed in his bach. The campaign will also showcase that the city centre is the place to celebrate and catch up with friends to enjoy all the wonderful experiences, events, decorations and attractions happening in the city centre in the lead up, and that this city centre offers the most diverse range of shopping for more personal, one of a kind gifts.

Visit our website from the 23 November to find out what's planned for Christmas in the City this year.
