Keeping the city centre and our businesses top of mind
One of the ways we are working to support city centre businesses through the impacts of COVID-19 is to keep them – and the city centre – at the top of peoples’ minds.
Some businesses are not able to trade as normal currently, so keeping customer relationships active with online engagement and interesting content is a way to set up for a faster recovery once restrictions are eased. Others may be safely trading online or using contactless pickup, but don't have their usual street presence or pedestrian traffic to help convert sales.
Some things we are doing to keep our businesses and the city centre visible are:
- Keeping our city centre community informed and interested through weekly e-newsletters and regular posts to Facebook and Instagram
- Updates on which businesses are trading and how, or how they're staying connected with customers if they're not able to trade or trading if permitted
- We've put together information for businesses looking to start out with or improve their online presence, and for those researching e-commerce and online orders
