We were delighted to see Te Whare Hīnātore, a new transitional housing facility, open its doors this month.

Te Whare Hīnātore is the Auckland City Mission’s new service exclusively for women, and those who identify as women, experiencing homelessness.

This new service provides a safe haven to care for vulnerable women for up to 12 weeks - and helps them find permanent accommodation. It is a positive move to address homelessness in Auckland and the city centre.

Addressing homelessness is a high priority for the city centre. Heart of the City actively supports Lifewise, the Auckland City Mission and others with their initiatives to end homelessness in Auckland. Find out more here.
