After a hugely successful launch in 2016, our Lovebites campaign has kicked off again to drive visitation to the city centre during the quieter winter months. Lovebites celebrates businesses in our city centre through unearthing hidden treasures. Last year’s campaign was very well received by businesses and consumers, and we saw an increase in positive perceptions, as well as spending in the city centre.
In 2017 we wanted to build on the success of Lovebites and evolve it to introduce a human element, the people and places of the city. The campaign launched on 3rd July and runs across Cinema, Digital media, the Link Bus Network, Outdoor billboards and adshels and via the NZ Herald until late September.
Winter 2017 will be our 9th year in market, building on success of Lovebites 2016 which contributed to total Heart of the City spending being up 5.5%. Winter is our most significant investment across the year, delivering a promotional awareness campaign for the city during the tougher trading months of winter. It is one of five key campaigns annually: Winter, Restaurant Month, Fashion, ArtWeek and Christmas.
On average, our digital activity across eDM, social, web and WHERE NEXT™ app reaches over 270k people each week.
