Making the most of Restaurant Month with Social Media

Restaurant teams made the most of the city's celebration of their industry with enticing and informative social media content promoting their Restaurant Month involvement.

Odettes Eatery were recognised for sharing the most mouthwatering visual content through their social channels, and received the Golden Hashtag Award along with a six-month subscription to Start Social's course for Hospitality Businesses, valued at more than $1,100.

Special recognition was also given to Scratch Bakers HQ, Mexico and Le Chef for their delicious social media activity.

The Golden Hashtag is a programme delivered by Heart of the City to encourage restaurant staff to be aware of and engaged with the event and their special menu for the month. Restaurant Month Ambassadors visited each restaurant in July to explain the programme, and kept in touch over the course of August.  

Restaurant Month is a key component of Heart of the City's work promoting Auckland’s city centre as a vibrant, diverse and world-class destination.
