Street cleaning
Keeping our city centre streets clean and tidy is an important part of making it a welcoming and enjoyable place for everyone. Auckland Transport is responsible for cleaning our streets and footpaths, sweeping the footpaths and streets and collecting loose litter and emptying rubbish bins.
As the city centre is a high-use area, many areas are cleaned continually throughout the day, with some jobs done overnight.
