Auckland Transport is responsible for keeping our roads and footpaths in good working order and meeting the needs of the city as well as approving private construction works and events that take place on public streets.

Our city centre roads and footpaths are maintained through both preventative and corrective work to keep them safe, working well and looking tidy.

Report a problem with a road or footpath

Contact Auckland Transport if you have noticed a footpath or street that needs repairs or attention – you’ll need to let them know the location and details including if the problem could cause injury to someone if left unattended. If the problem is urgent please call Auckland Transport on 09 355 3553.

Construction and events

Private construction works and events can sometimes affect the normal use of public streets and roads. Permission for this activity is required from Auckland Transport.
