heritage
Our city centre has magnificent heritage stories to tell. We want to capitalise on the heritage significance of the Auckland CBD and to use this as a means of establishing an identity for the area. We undertake a range of projects to help celebrate and provide greater certainty for the heritage in our city centre.
Heritage Festival 2011
In partnership with Auckland City Walks, Heart of the City have sponsored a number of free walks as part of Auckland Heritage Festival 2011, on the 18, 25 September and 2 October 2011. The walks are free, but bookings are essential. Find out more on the walks and how to book here...

Lighting Heritage buildings is a way of profiling our wonderful heritage in downtown Auckland. We have lit the following heritage buildings in Auckland's city centre.
- Blacketts Building (86 - 92 Queen Street)
- Landmark House (187-189 Queen Street)
- Imperial Building (44-48 Queen Street)
