Auckland Conversations: transport funding in the new 10 year budget

Auckland Council's ten year budget and will be released for public comment at the end of February. It will set out the priorities for spending over the next decade - including what upgrade projects are planned for the city centre and what is proposed for rates over that period.

One of the key areas for discussion with Aucklanders will be the implementation of a regional fuel tax, already committed to by the Government. Auckland Conversations is holding a special event on 28 February about the fuel tax – asking whether it’s the answer to Auckland’s transport challenges.
