Enchanted Garden

Art that depicts gardens are rich in symbolism and feature in almost all cultures – from highly stylised Islamic representations of the gardens of paradise to romantic settings for popular themes in Western art. The Enchanted Garden brings together works from all parts of Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki’s collections, as well as contemporary works by New Zealand and international artists, objects from the Auckland Museum, and illustrated texts from the Public Library Special Collections.
