Mandatory sign-ins are now required
The NZ COVID Tracer app helps health officials to stop the spread of COVID-19 by tracing the contacts of anyone who has been exposed to COVID-19.
All businesses are now required to maintain contract tracing records in line with the Covid-19 Response Act. Tracing is to be maintained at any alert level and the obligation will be on the person responsible for the place or gathering to make sure people can scan or sign in. Failure to do so will result in a fine varying between $300 and $1000. More information is available here.
