Christmas in the BIG little City

Our Christmas plans are underway – including brand new decorations on Queen Street. The tender submissions for the new decorations have just closed, so the journey towards Auckland's main street's new look for Christmas is well underway. All the old favourites are returning too: Santa on the Whitcoulls Building, the Doves and Super Sized Chains in the High Street District and the Giant Baubles along with a full Christmas programme including markets in Aotea Square. The new decorations and increased Christmas activation have been made possible thanks to a three-way funding partnership between HOTCity, Auckland Council and THE EDGE.

With this in mind we would love to know any special plans that our HOTCity businesses may have for celebrating Christmas this year. It's always a good idea to make the most of the Christmas Rush by going that extra mile with your window displays, so let us know about any special events or plans you may have or if you want to discuss this more. 

The BIG little City marketing campaign for the Christmas period is also under development; as the development progresses we will be releasing information about how your business can get involved and take advantage of this. As with previous years, there will be a retail-focussed supplement in the New Zealand Herald, a dedicated print and digital advertising campaign, and a tactical promotion.
