Give your feedback on waste in the City Centre
A regional wide draft waste minimisation plan is out for discussion until 31 January 2012.
The Draft Waste Management Plan aims to help deliver waste services more efficiently, find better ways to reuse resources, and send less to landfill across the region.
The way we manage waste affects all Aucklanders, both now and in the future. Council’s ultimate aim is to reach for "Zero Waste”, as part of the ambition to make Auckland the world’s most liveable city.
Heart of the City are interested in your ideas of how we should deal with Business waste in the City Centre. Some thoughts:
- Do you like the idea of organic rubbish collections in the City Centre?
- How could we reduce ‘illegal dumping in the city’ (rubbish that is put at the wrong times or in the wrong way)
- What would assist you in reducing your current level of waste?
- There are many different operators collecting business waste in the City Centre, and it means that rubbish is put out at different times and often creates a tension with pedestrians, how could this be improved?
