Safety in the city centre

Ensuring the city centre is a vibrant, enjoyable and safe place is important to Heart of the City, and there’s a lot in place to specifically support safety.

Our own Safety Team, in their eye-catching uniforms, are in and around Queen Street 24/7. They work alongside others including the Police, Auckland Council Compliance Wardens (which we also support), who focus on public nuisance and local bylaw enforcement, and Community Patrols who operate out of local hubs.

There are also other initiatives in place such as StoreWatch, our retail crime prevention network, and an extensive CCTV network.

If you need urgent police assistance please call 111. For any crime that has occurred, including theft please call 105.
