Auckland Anniversary Weekend 28-31 Jan
It's Auckland's 171st birthday and everyone's invited to celebrate with a host of fantastic Auckland Anniversary Weekend events from 28 to 31 January.

Festivities kick off on Friday night, with the first of several Auckland International Buskers Festival shows. Performances continue throughout the weekend, with a huge assortment of local and international acrobats, comedians and more.
Popular maritime themed activities happen across the long weekend including the RNZ Navy ship open days, Ports of Auckland tours and Maritime Museum exhibitions and activities.
Auckland Seafood Festival runs from Saturday to Monday at Te Wero Island in the Viaduct. Tickets cost just $15, and punters can enjoy a huge range of local delicacies, as well as performances from local musicians, buskers, industry displays and competitions.
There's no better way to celebrate a birthday than with fireworks and we've got a massive explosive display set to light up the harbour on Sunday night.
On Monday, indie music lovers have Laneway Festival to look forward to in the new Aotea Square. And of course, Auckland's birthday tradition, The Oceanbridge Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta will see thousands of marine craft take to the Waitemata to celebrate our maritime history.
