Our city centre’s creative heart is home to Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, Auckland Central City Library, Aotea Square, Auckland Town Hall, Aotea Centre and the Civic Theatre. It also boasts a number of private dealer galleries, theatres and cinemas and is supported by a variety of bars and restaurants. This is where you’ll find some of the city’s most special events – the Writers Festival at the Aotea Centre, St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Albert Park and the NZ International Film Festival in its longest-standing venue, the Civic.
