What lies beneath - CRL's public tunnel walkthrough

On Sunday 17 November, thousands of curious Aucklanders were allowed behind the construction hoardings to explore the first completed section of the City Rail Link tunnel. 

Members of the public went below ground at Britomart Station before following the tunnels under Commercial Bay and PWC tower to the bottom of Albert Street, crossing between tunnels and turning around just below Food Alley and The Sebel Quay West. 

While demand for tickets outstripped the 10,000 that were available, City Rail Link Ltd have said they will look for more opportunities to share the project with the public.
