Have Your Say on the Proposed Public Safety and Nuisance Bylaw
Auckland Council and Auckland Transport have reviewed and consolidated the 11 bylaws they inherited addressing public safety and nuisance and inappropriate behaviour in public spaces. They are welcoming public submissions on the proposed new bylaws from February 15.
Nuisances, obstructions or unsafe activities in the area in which you do business can impact your staff and customers. Council's bylaws allow for these kinds of behaviours to be managed so that Auckland’s reputation as a safe city is maintained and enhanced and public safety is promoted.
Submissions on the proposed bylaws can be made either directly through the Auckland Council website, or by contacting HOTCity and letting us know what you think so that we can incorporate your feedback in our own submission.
Deadlines:
- Submissions made directly to Auckland Council must be in by 15 March.
- Submissions made via HOTCity must be in by 5 March.
