Auckland’s city centre is in a period of rapid transformational change, with substantial investment committed to the area by both the public sector and private developers.
Major development continues on the City Rail Link, along with residential and commercial developments across the city centre.
A number of recently completed highlight projects are now attracting visitors, including Commercial Bay, The Pacifica, Te Komititanga, Te Wānanga and Quay Street.
When the City Rail Link is completed in 2025, it will transform access to the city centre, carrying an estimated 54,000 peak-time passengers each hour and doubling the number of people within a 30-minute commute of the city centre.
