Our 2011 BIG little City Campaign Launches

Auckland’s BIG little City is our consumer marketing campaign. It aims to drive awareness and increased visitation to the CBD, and focuses on the huge range of entertainment, nightlight, dining , shopping and attractions that exist within our vibrant central city.

Last year the BIG little City campaign resulted in over 65,000 monthly visits to the BIG little city website, giving great visibility to a large number of CBD businesses. Currently more than 900 listings feature on the website. Over 10,000 people subscribe to the BIG little City e-letter and more than 6,000 follow us on Twitter and Facebook.

2011 BIG little City Campaign

This year’s campaign focuses on creating greater awareness of the experiences to be had around some of the key events and attractions, bringing shopping, nightlife and dining more to the fore in 2011.

Our winter campaign launched on 26 June, features:

· TV ads and website banner ads to encourage people to come into the city for a BIG little City experience.

· BIG little City website visitors will be able to create and share their own urban journey’s or find an experience to suit a specific occasion via our new ‘Occasion Finder’.

· There will also be an exciting new, online promotion to drive enquires and visitation directly to CBD businesses, replacing last year’s hugely successful BIG little Vouchers promotion.
