Artweek 2019 in the High Street District
From 12 - 20 October, we’re celebrating Artweek 2019 in the city centre and encouraging Aucklanders to discover our cultural heartbeat - from galleries to art in the streets and corporate art collections.
We're a longstanding major partner of Artweek Auckland and we work together to bring a number of arts programmes to the city centre, including Late Night Art, Changing Lanes and more. We also promote all of the gallery exhibitions and events happening as part of Artweek in the city centre.
This year, the High Street District will be a focal point for Artweek Auckland activity. Road closures are planned for High and O'Connell Streets on Tuesday 15 October to allow Late Night Art to take place:
- High Street closed from Shortland Street to Victoria Street East from 12pm to 10pm
- O'Connell Street closed from Chancery Place to Shortland Street from 7am to 10pm
