Elemental AKL

News story
Tuesday 30 Apr 2019

ATEED's new winter festival, Elemental AKL, is happening throughout July. The month-long festival plays on the elements of air, fire, earth and water to create a unique programme of events themed around sensational cuisine, dazzling lighting installations, and impressive entertainment and culture.

We are contributing to the atmosphere of the festival in the city centre with light installations on Vulcan Lane and along the edge of Aotea Square.

There are many events taking place in the city centre as part of the festival, including Te Korakora on Federal - a street party on Federal Street, Tūrama festival - a three-day immersive light playground in Albert Park and InMotion Matariki - a parade in celebration of Matariki (Maori New Year) at Silo Park.

There will also be shows and events at Auckland Town Hall, Aotea Square, The Civic, Q Theatre and more.
