Paperless parking and how AT Park can work for you 

New on-street parking payment technology being rolled out by Auckland Transport means no more paper pay and display tickets, an option for electronic receipts and a new way to manage short stay business parking for staff or customers.

New Pay by Plate machines are being installed in the city centre now, with work due to finish by late March. Once the new machines are all in you'll have the option of paying using a Pay by Plate machine or the AT Park app.

Using a Pay by Plate machine allows you to pay by credit or debit card (and in some cases, coins) using your vehicle's number plate. It gives you the option of extending your parking session by visiting any Pay by Plate machine in the same price zone as you are parked. You can choose to be emailed electronic receipts whenever you park. Find out more here.  

The free AT Park app is another way to pay. There are no transaction fees using the app and you only pay for the exact amount of parking you need - once you start a parking session, it will be live until you stop it. Another feature of the AT Park app is the option to set up a business account, allowing you to manage parking for multiple users and vehicles, eg. for staff or customers.
