We’ve joined with Uber and Women in Urbanism for a ‘Women in Safety in the City’ event on Monday 4 November.

This is a free event that will see an impressive line-up of speakers discussing the intersecting issues of urban design, policing, street harassment and transport safety.

Speakers include Sara Bekhit and Emma McInnes from Women in Urbanism Aotearoa, Hon Nikki Kaye MP, Stacey van der Putten from Auckland Transport, Amanda Gilmore from Uber and Fatumata Bah from Inspiring Stories.

The speakers will be followed by a panel discussion on women's safety in the city, facilitated by Heart of the City's Chief Executive, Viv Beck.

There will be drinks and snacks provided.

From 5.30pm on 4 November at Workshop 2, upstairs at 12 Madden Street, Wynyard Quarter.

We hope to see you there!
